Eric Armstrong is interested in life's big mysteries: Who wrote Shakespeare? Who built the pyramids? What is the source of internal energy? How the heck do you play golf? And like that.
He has authored multiple books and hundreds of articles. As a former professional technical writer, he developed the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and interesting way. That capacity, combined with the novel insights that keep coming to him (for some reason) produce unique perspectives on a variety of topics. (His interests range far beyond the areas in which he has published material. He limits his publications to areas in which he can make a helpful contribution.)
Eric started the treelight.com website in 1996, originally to share information on fitness and nutrition, but later expanding it to cover Irish music and dance, Greek music, Yoga and meditation, the Shakespearean authorship question, Tau (better than Pi), along with advice on software startups, collaboration systems, and documentation systems, and a proposal for #SocialMediaVotingAdvice--an app that can take the money out of the election process.
He began the MeditateBetter.com website in 2018, making his Yoga Meditation Bench available to the public, along with accessories, articles, and additional information.
When he gets involved, he gets inspired. When he's inspired, he writes. Then he typically moves on to something else, although he tends to circle back when new information surfaces.
His published books include works on yoga and meditation, gingivitis, golf, and the Java programming language. Unpublished works include how-to's on trail running, trekking poles, and a nine-volume systems-theory analysis of how corporate greed has wrecked our health and our environment, along with the proposed solution (Social Media Voting Advice).
These days, he mostly focuses on the "internal energy" practices required to get it all done!
