Steve Wiens

Steve is a spiritual teacher, writer, and pastor who loves helping people reconstruct their faith after their theological foundations have crumbled. His ecumenical and imaginative approach to spiritual development encourages people to let their deep questions lead the way into new and expansive understandings of God, themselves, and the world in which they live.

Steve loves to create resources for spiritually hungry people. He hosts This Good Word, a weekly podcast reclaims what’s holy about our humanity by offering sacred and sacramental lenses through which to see the ordinary events of our lives. His first book, Beginnings (2016) explores the seven days of creation as a metaphor and guide for understanding the spiritual journey. His second book, Whole (2017) poses five of the most intriguing questions God asks of people in the Bible, encouraging readers to partner with God in making all things new. His latest book, Shining Like the Sun: Seven Mindful Practices for Rekindling Your Faith releases on April 7, 2020.

Steve and his wife Mary live near Minneapolis, Minnesota with their three boys and their Labradoodle puppy.
