Born in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania, Mark Abel began writing and telling stories at an early age. His first attempts at novel writing began in his teenage years and preceded his studies at Westminster College as a double major in English and Music Composition. Soon after, he completed his first work, the gargantuan Dark Stairways collection, in his early twenties. He produced three novels in the subsequent years: No Rest for the Wicked, Trillium, A Fistful of Knives and the non-fiction anthology, Inchworm. He is currently working on a new novel.
