Edward V. Haas

I have been a dishwasher, emergency room attendant, stockbroker, financial analyst, computer consultant, HIV/AIDS prevention outreach worker, and a service coordinator for developmentally delayed children. In my late 30's, I decided to become a doctor, fulfilling a lifelong dream. My medical training and experience has included extended work in pathology, family practice medicine, and psychiatry. I later trained in Jungian psychoanalysis. Always a "seeker", my spiritual path has taken me beyond the United States to India and Nepal, and my martial arts training to Hong Kong, and China.

Catalyzed by the birth of my daughter, writing Transformative Parenting forced a distillation of the knowledge I've gained from these disparate experiences, and allowed me to discover the meaning and purpose of my life: To spread awareness of the unique power and importance of children as catalysts for self-discovery, renewal, and rebirth.
