Jenny Jansen

Jenny Jansen had many names in her private and professional life: Afro-German, Black German, Colored or the orphan child, adoptive child. As welcome often people told her: "Oh, you speak good German!" or "Where do you come from?" Her blood level went always up: "No wonder, I was born in Germany and by the way, I come from the same place you come from!” the standard answer she could give. Racism was a constant companion to her, abuse not a stranger.

The search for origin was her common thread, her central theme. Hypersensitivity and creative thought patterns pave the way back to the beginning and to the future. The “CREAtor Power” has determined her life since 1989. Resiliency a valuable plus.

After a 10-year search, she successfully met 1987 her mother in Huntsville, Alabama and got to know her half-brothers and sister in the USA. The mother died shortly after the first meeting. Jenny could built a relationship in spite of all obstacles to her grandmother in Germany and took care of her until her death in 2009.

The American Dream was fulfilled as Jenny thought by finding her father, the man named by her mother in all her papers. The former army soldier lived in San Francisco and he accepted her as his own daughter. Wonderful years of a real father’s love?

Yes and no: The dream bursts a week before his death in 2003. He was the "wrong father". A genetic test forced by his other daughters showed: Jenny was not his biological daughter. "Who could be then my father?" - That question turned out to be her new life theme until 2016! She found her real fatherly family in 2016 spread over the USA.

Never give up to go for your dreams, never give up hope! Everything can have a meaning! This is the author's motto of resiliency.
