STEVEN B. CLARK started his 21-year Disney career during college as a ride operator on the Submarine Voyage and Tomorrowland Autopia attractions at Disneyland, and he eventually became the Disneyland Press & Publicity Department's first intern, contributing to the grand openings of The Lion King Celebration and the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction.
Through the years, he worked in publicity at Walt Disney Feature Animation and Disney Channel, and served as the executive speechwriter for the ABC Television Network. He was then transferred to The Walt Disney Company corporate communications department, where he was the speechwriter for the company's top senior executives, including Disney CEOs Michael Eisner and Bob Iger. In 2005, he was put on special assignment in China as a member of the Hong Kong Disneyland Grand Opening Task Force, and in 2006 he was promoted to Vice President, Corporate Communications, where his duties expanded to included global communications strategy and internal communications.
He was the founder and head of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club; established and led Disney Corporate Creative Resources; ran the company's prestigious Disney Legends Award program; and was head of the Walt Disney Archives & Photo Library, where he significantly expanded the department's overall collections and asset management strategy, as well as conceived and implemented the popular Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives museum exhibition brand. Steven co-authored "Disney: The First 100 Years" (Disney Editions) with Dave Smith, was a contributing writer to every edition of "Disney A to Z: The Official Encyclopedia" (Hyperion), and wrote the thousands of trivia questions in Mattel's best-selling "Wonderful World of Disney Trivia" games.
Steven is currently the head of corporate communications and public relations for The Wonderful Company. He resides in Los Angeles with his family.
