M. Prieler

Michael Prieler is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication at Hallym University, South Korea. He worked and studied for several years in Japan, where he received his PhD from Tohoku University. His current research focuses on media representations of race/ethnicity, gender, and age in Japan, South Korea, China, the Philippines, and the United States. He has published on these areas in books and various international journals including Mass Communication and Society, Sex Roles, Ageing & Society, and the International Journal of Cultural Studies.
