Jonathan Eckert

Jonathan Eckert has been a teacher for over two decades in classrooms ranging from elementary to college. He has written numerous articles on effective teaching, education policy, and teacher leadership. He earned a doctorate from Vanderbilt University and worked at the U.S. Department of Education in both the Bush and Obama administrations. Like any good teacher, he has continued to learn with and from his students. His first book, The Novice Advantage: Fearless Practice for Every Teacher is all about educators who reflect, risk, and grow over the course of their careers.
