Laura Herring

Laura Herring knows a lot about food. Having worked as a food writer, editor and consultant for almost 15 blissfully greedy years, there’s not much she hasn’t tasted/cooked/written about or read about.

Laura has worked with many of the world’s top publishers and with an impressive number of the leading names in cookery today – from bloggers to stylists, photographers to recipe developers and, of course, chefs.

Laura has written and consulted on a diverse range of cuisines – from Nordic to Middle Eastern, French to Indian (including many different style of Indian cooking), American to Italian, and on subjects as varied as home smoking, cake decorating, juicing, curing and pickling, pies, pasta, barbecues, cheese – oh, and healthy eating and dieting.

Laura grew up in southwest London and currently lives in Dalston, east London, where you’ll often find her propping up in a café with the rest of the local laptop brigade or splashing about in the lido on London Fields.

Laura has written three books under her own name to date: London’s Best Brunches, The Fast Days Cookbook and, to keep things in balance, The Little Book of Cheese.
