Julian Lopez

Julian Lopez is the author of several short stories published by Alyson Publications and Icarus.

Missed Connections is his 2016 debut novel, where real snippets from Craigslist postings, Missed Connections, serve as a prelude to every beginning chapter involving the lives of several romantically hopeful and mischievous Angelenos who prove to be more connected and dependent on the essence of Missed Connections.

Julian is a graduate from California State University Long Beach where he majored in Broadcast Journalism. As a lover of the written word, he dedicates his spare time to writing fiction, and has freelanced for various LA based publications .

After a career in Advertising/Branding, Julian later nurtured his creative desire for design by studying interior architecture--something he now dedicates to as an LA based designer.

Although born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Julian considers himself a true Angeleno, having lived in LA since the age of four--from one end of the LA County to the other. Now, living in the central core of LA, Julian enjoys hiking the various trails of LA with his two dogs, while exploring the vast array of LA restaurants, art/theater venues and hidden vintage gem locales.

Designing spaces, traveling and staying fit are also some of his routine musts.
