Kathryn Harrison

Before Canadian artist, Kathryn Harrison, received her Fine Art Diploma from the Toronto School of Art, she had already been a Marketing professional for more than a decade. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA. Through her varied education and experience, Kathryn holds an interesting mixture of science, communications and art skills which she brought together for the development of her debut book "Weeds in Nana's Garden."

Stirred by her personal experience with her mother’s dementia, Kathryn created paintings and wrote this book to support families and spread awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias.

Kathryn’s goal is always to create from the heart.

She strives to do so from her studio in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, a small town just outside of Toronto, where she is continuously inspired by her kids, her cats and her colorful natural surroundings.
