Robert Derlet

Robert W. Derlet, MD is Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, and former Chief of Emergency Medicine at the Davis Medical Center for nearly two decades. Dr. Derlet was also instrumental in starting the residency training program in emergency medicine. He has published over 100 scientific research articles on such topics as emergency room overcrowding and wilderness medicine. Dr. Derlet has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally, serving as visiting professor at numerous hospitals worldwide. He has provided care to patients on six out of seven continents.
