“Hello…my name is Shaleen Joyce. You killed my father…prepare to die!!!”
This year I published a trilogy that revolves around my experiences as an obedient submissive slave girl in the Bondage, Discipline, Sado-Masochist lifestyle.
This is not my first attempt to write a great American novel. The first try was in sixth grade when I wrote a crime thriller. My next attempt was while I was a freshman in high school. It was a story about being a freshman in high school.
After graduating collage, I moved to Naples, Florida with my grandmother. Whilst waiting tables, I had time to read and study the writing styles of some great authors such as our Queen, Ann Rice, the King Mark twain (Samuel Clemens) and Robert Tanenbaum, who I also like. In addition, I read and reread a how-to write instruction manual by the late and great Gary Provost. I know he was from Boston…but he was a good teacher. Betwixt taking in all that I’ve learned, along with my crew of editors and illustrators, I can write.
I have always been a part of the BDSM culture. I started breaking bad when I was 12 years old in a school weight room with a classmate. Poor guy didn’t know if he should scratch his watch or wind his butt. I quickly found my place in the culture as a submissive. People say to write about what you know…I know the culture. My trilogy follows the life and family history of a slave girl named Moonbeam. Book 2 is a prequel and book 3 answers any and all questions from book 1. My style is simple and easy to read and my books are full of beautiful artwork by my illustrators. I hope the reader finds my books interesting, informative and fun.
I am currently living in Pasadena, California. I have a great day job, great apartment and great friends. In my off hours, I enjoy the beach, canoeing, sailing, hiking and camping. I have always been outdoorsy…that is how I keep my girlish figure. I also like old movies such as ‘The Princess Bride’.
