Janet Young

Creative writing for children is one of Ms Young's favorite things! She believes there is nothing better than spending time reading to, and with, your children. A healthy imagination and a love of reading are gifts that will last a lifetime.

Along with writing and raising monarch butterflies, Young enjoys gardening, wilderness camping, canoeing and taking hikes with the "President" of Pine Lane Publishing, Bucky da dog!

Janet's 'passion list' includes health - healthy eating, living and aging. She does not believe that the "golden years" of life need to be spent growing fat and sick and inactive. Get up, get out - eat healthy food - and keep moving!!!

Young has a BS Degree from Michigan State University Honors College. She spent 30 years as a regional director for Church World Service working to fight global poverty and hunger. She says "There are many people in great need, including right here in the USA - reach out and help others, it will brighten your life!"
