Aran Maza

Aran Maza is a writer and graphic designer based in Madrid, Spain. Her first novel, «I Hate Everyone: Diary of a Loser», is a moving young adult novel that follows a young woman’s journey to find self-confidence. Aran has also published three other novels in Spanish: «Oscuro Cuento de Hadas» (Dark Fairy Tale), a Gothic novel set in Victorian England; «Jardín de Sombras» (Garden of Shadows), another Gothic tale set in the Roaring Twenties; and «La Casa del Mal» (House of Evil), a contemporary horror novel about trauma, haunted houses and demonic possessions. Her fifth novel is a psychological thriller set in Los Angeles in 1996, blending a serial killer with a post-apocalyptic cult during a sweltering summer.

Aran’s love of the arts extends far beyond her work as a writer and designer. She is an avid reader and enjoys immersing herself in books, films, TV series and music. She is also passionate about art and finding inspiration in her favourite works of art.
