William Gates Lawrence

William Gates Lawrence received his law degree from the University of Baltimore and is a retired counsel for the United States House of Representatives. He is an avid astronomer, swimmer and scuba enthusiast. He and his wife, Anne, now live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Although he has authored numerous investigative reports for Congress, The Very Special Wreath is his first children’s book. Bill received a liver transplant in 1988 and for years has spoken to the public about the importance of organ and tissue donation.
