Vincent James is a lifelong musician and songwriter with piano being his instrument of choice. He was first drawn to pop music listening to sounds of the early 70s including John Denver, The Carpenters, Bread, The Jackson 5 and more. His musical tastes grew as he was introduced to and began to enjoy slightly louder musical artists including Kiss, Led Zeppelin and The Who. Today he loves many styles of music ranging from classical to hard rock. The Beatles have become a favorite and he often laments that he first discovered the Beatles right about the time he heard the Beatles had broken up (not fair lol).
Vincent has released several music CDs including novelty song "Y2K" that landed him on a national TV program. He was also fortunate to have his song "One More Night" played on dozens of radio stations nationwide. He is also the founder of LoveSongs.com where he writes and sings custom songs for couples and families all over the world helping to celebrate weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions.
Along with his wife Joann, Vincent is the founder of Keep Music Alive, an organization dedicated to promoting the value of music: for children's education, for the many types of therapy music is now being used for AND for our overall happiness. To help get this message out into the world, they published the book "88+ Ways Music Can Change Your Life" with over 100 inspirational music stories from around the world, including a number of celebrities. In December 2020, "88 MORE Ways Music Can Change Your Life" was released as the second book in the "88 Ways Music" book series.
Keep Music Alive organization is also the founder of Kids Music Day and Teach Music Week. Each year they partner with over 1,000 music schools and stores in over a dozen countries to offer free lessons to new students and hold special events that benefit kids playing music.
