Ryan Campbell

Ryan Campbell was raised in Arkansas in a family of nine, but eventually escaped to California to seek his fortune. Instead, he found a job at a university. In 2008, he married his husband David,

and they live happily together in the San Francisco Bay Area. There, he tries to write the kinds of books that kept him both sane and strange growing up. In 2014, he became a graduate of the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop.

He is the author of Smiley and the Hero, Koa of the Drowned Kingdom, The Fire Bearers series, and numerous short stories.
