Daniel Walker

Daniel Walker has one passion: to create better hospitals for patients and their relatives. He has been a hospital consultant for more than twenty years. He is a Lean Hospital specialist, teacher and editor. It all started at the emergency department of a Swiss hospital where he worked as a consultant. He tried to optimize and learned how difficult change in a hospital environment is. Complexity in Hospitals can sometimes be overwhelming. Then he discovered Lean as a holistic management method for driving change in hospitals. In the last couple of years Daniel Walker and his team created new models of care and impressive examples for innovation in hospitals. This team is working hard to achieve better outcomes and partner with physicians, nurses, IT specialists, engineers and architects. Daniel Walker is editor of two specialist books in healthcare. He is the founder of walkerproject, the biggest healthcare consultancy in Switzerland. His fields of expertise are hospital strategies, strategy deployment, physician leadership, new models of care and innovation in the healthcare industry.
