Lisa A. Brooks is an associate lecturer in the College of Education and Human Performance at the University of Central Florida. She has been a classroom teacher, mentor, and mathematics coach. She regularly provides professional development for teachers and administrators throughout North America. Her academic and research focus centers on effective strategies for teaching mathematics and science. She lives in Central Florida with her husband, John and their four children: Anthony, Sarah, Wyatt, and Darby.
