A true thinker and seeker, Myron has been writing poetry and short stories for over a decade. While not following any formal religion he has believed in traditional Buddhist tenets since he was a teenager. Passionate about self-improvement, he believes “life is growth, and growth is enlightenment.” And as such, he aspires to live a life of simplicity, enrichment, and peace. Driven by a tumultuous past and determined to change his future, Myron has found a remarkable strength within himself. He learned the power of forgiveness, and the peace that comes from it. (Now he’s working on forgiving himself.) With enough poetry to fill volumes, Myron also hopes to begin a collaborative effort sharing his experiences so that others may find the inspiration to let go, and move on.
After an earlier second place win in a national poetry contest, Myron’s poems were published in his college’s 2008 & 2009 annual book of student writers. When he’s not working, he’s learning, earning course certificates from major universities including Wesleyan’s The Ancient Greeks, University of Edinburgh’s Introduction to Philosophy and Critical Thinking in Global Challenges and University of Singapore’s Reason and Persuasion: Thinking through Three Dialogues by Plato. Myron has studied both Wicca, and the cultures and traditions of Native Americans. After attending Christian workshops, and studying several denominations, he became an ordained minister. He’s now planning to marry the love of his love {Kelly Haines} in a ceremony following the vows and customs of Buddhism.
