Chloe E. Taft

Chloe Taft is a Mellon Postdoctoral Associate in the Integrated Humanities and a Lecturer in the American Studies Program at Yale University. She earned her PhD in American Studies from Yale.

From Steel to Slots (Harvard University Press, 2016) examines experiences of economic change in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, a former steel town now host to an industrial-themed casino. Her research and teaching focus on urban history, postindustrial redevelopment, historic preservation, the built environment, and ethnographic approaches to understanding economic transition and inequality.
