Ronke Jegede

Ronke Jegede is an AI Governance Architect and Fractional Chief AI Officer, and the Founder of Cardinal AI Systems, a UK-registered AI governance company serving regulated firms across the UK.

Her books, written over a decade of advising organisations on digital visibility and reputation, explore a question that has only grown more consequential: how organisations are seen, judged, and held accountable in digital systems. That question now drives her AI governance work with law firms, accountancy practices and healthcare providers.

She holds an LLB and passed the ICSA qualifying examinations in 1994. She holds a certificate in AI Governance from the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, is certified in ISO 42001, ISO 23894 and the EU AI Act (BSI), and completed leadership training at Harvard Business School. She has built and deployed over 40 live AI platforms across regulated sectors, and is the author of the Cardinal Decision Evidence Assessment (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21922417), a published method for testing whether AI-assisted decisions can be defended after the fact. Three decades in corporate governance taught her how regulators construct an argument.

She is based in London.
