Andre D. Woods

Andre D. Woods was born and raised in San Diego, California. He has been writing poems and passages to himself since he was a child. Sharing his work on stages and social media. Which has led to his first book, "Solitude is Company, Love is a Crowd. Coming from a challenged childhood, writing has always been an escape route for Woods, by creating his own world to express himself outside of the world he was raised in. He always knew that there was much more to life than the places we find comfort in and leaving home to pursue a new life in Los Angeles opened his eyes to a whole new perspective. Woods has always had a love-hate relationship with the City of Angels. Realizing the many different personalities and intentions of a city with such opportunity almost made it harder for him to figure out his purpose. After sharing his ability to write with those around him, he knew it was his passion. Not only because he loved to write, but the idea of taking the darkest place in his soul and creating an art to bring light into another, was a sense of satisfaction his words could ever explain.
