David Van Wie

David Van Wie lives in rural New Hampshire and writes about fly fishing, outdoor adventures, environmental issues, and whatever quirky topics are on his mind in his blog at www.WatchYourBackcast.com.

David is a monthly columnist for The Maine Sportsman, and enjoys "fresh air photography"- shooting and exhibiting photos of nature, cityscapes, public art, and action sports. David is author of Storied Waters, which recounts an epic six week fly fishing adventure to visit rivers, ponds and streams made famous in literature. His is also lead author/editor of The Confluence, a collection of essays, art and tall tales about fly-fishing and friendship, co-written with six of his college classmates.
