MW Burdette

MW Burdette has a colorful background that lends to his imagination when he composes his books of fiction. He was born in Alabama as a post-World War II child in a respectable but humble home. Knowing the importance of a college education, his father and mother encouraged him to attend a local college where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in the late 1960s. As it was the time of the Vietnam War crisis in our country, he enlisted in a branch of the U.S. Army and was immediately issued orders for Vietnam, contrary to his recruiter’s promise that he would serve in Europe. This had a dramatic effect on his life and it was a major stimulus to the writing of his first novel, In Search of an Identity. The first three books he has written are a trilogy of his protagonist following mysterious happenings that take him to Saigon, Denver and Dallas to help solve those mysteries and bring the criminals to justice.

Having worked in a sales and sales management career for most of his adult life, Burdette also gained his real estate brokerage license which further exposed him to a colorful and varied group of individuals who help him create characters who we can all identity with-people with whom we interact with on a daily basis. Some of his experiences with government policing authorities have definitely colored his approach to his mystery novels.

His new murder mystery series, The Maggie Watson Mystery Series, reveals how many potential dangers lurk among everyday people we come in contact with. The first novel in that series, Death at the Cathedral, is available on Amazon.com and soon will be available on Barnes and Noble.com, as well.
