Scott Rocco

Scott R. Rocco, Ed.D., is a distinguished educator and leader with over 30 years of service in public education. As an active Superintendent of Schools, he leads one of the largest school districts in New Jersey. Throughout his career, Dr. Rocco has served students and staff at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This experience brings a comprehensive "360-degree" perspective to the hiring process and educational leadership. Over his career he has interviewed and hired thousands of candidates and trained hundreds of future school and district leaders on the interview process.

Dr. Rocco is a prominent voice in educational administration, having served as the President of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA). His leadership extends to several high-impact roles, including:

- AASA Governing Board Member.

- Executive Committee Member of NJASA.

- Co-Chair of the NJASA Technology Committee and annual Techspo conference.

- Instructor for the NJEXCEL program, where he trains aspiring administrators in district leadership, school safety, and the hiring process.

- The Governor’s Commission on the Effects of Social Media Usage on Adolescents.

Dr. Rocco is a firm believer that leaders must also be learners. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at The College of New Jersey and Rider University, teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. A sought-after Keynote Speaker and trained Executive Coach, he frequently presents on the national stage regarding Next Gen Leadership, AI in Education, and Generational Recruiting.

Dr. Rocco’s dedication to the profession has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including:

Dr. Rocco holds a Doctorate from Seton Hall University and both Graduate and Undergraduate degrees from The College of New Jersey. He remains passionate about forging partnerships that advance student-centered learning.
