Angie has come a long way from her first job at the Hollywood Mann's Chinese Theater popping popcorn. She has worked with children and adults with special needs and paved her way through corporate America in the capacity of Recruiter, Event Coordinator and HR Manager for various corporations. Angie obtained a degree in Child Psychology and master’s courses in Conflict Negotiations at Cal State Dominguez Hills, where she met her Prince Charming, who became her happily ever after. All prepared her for the journey of writing for children.
Angie stormed the kid lit scene with her first solo book Cub's Wish, an Amazon Best Seller and Number One Hot New Release in three different categories, landing in the top thousandth-of-one-percent ranking on the online book selling giant. In fact, her launch was so successful that the book sold out of its initial Amazon stock in the first 12 hours. Cub's Wish was launched as a #1 bestselling e-book and has now been translated into Spanish - El Deseo de Osito, French - Le Souhait du Bebe Panda, Italian - Il sogno di Cucciolo, Tagalog - Ang Hiling ni Cub, and in Braille, with more languages to come. Angie's goal is to share the message of the story all over the world.
Since the launch of Cub’s Wish, Angie has won multiple awards for the book, has appeared in several podcasts, articles, live radio interviews, and was featured on the local Cable show Faces of Torrance, as well as a feature in the book 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading. Angie has been featured in City Holiday parades and festivals with her Panda Mascot by her side.
Local elementary/middle/high schools, children's groups, children’s hospitals, and libraries have invited Angie to share the message of the book and her writing journey. The message she promotes, is that anything is possible - Think things through to make your wishes come true.
Angie sits on the board of the Children's Book Writers of Los Angeles (CBW-LA) and Reading is Fundamental (RIF-SoCal) promoting both the importance of reading for children, as well as inspiring writers to share their stories and hone their craft.
With over 20 children's stories waiting to be discovered, Angie has also written two television pilots, scripts for on-air radio announcements, and a film manuscript based on her grandmother’s journey to America.
A love for pop culture and anything Harry Potter to Star Wars, Walking Dead to Tim Burton, and Disney related, Angie attends San Diego Comic Con and other similar events yearly with the dream of one day being on a panel and sharing her journey to inspire others to follow their dream. Traveling, roller skating by the beach, and hanging out with her family is always at the top of her list. With an open heart and mind, Angie is continuing to live each day to its fullest.
