Melissa Hellwig

Melissa Hellwig has been a middle school math and science teacher for nearly ten years. He has earned a Master of Arts in Education and a Master of Science in Educational Administration. Melissa also holds Specialist Certification in Superintendency. She is passionate about "20% Time", Student-Designed learning, Problem Based Learning, creating an engaging classroom climate, and personalizing the learning for each of her students. Melissa builds a bond of trust between her students and herself, knowing that the foundation of any successful classroom is the relationships that the teacher nurtures with each student. Melissa has eight years of curriculum development experience through the Curriculum Evaluation Team. She is also on the EdCampSTL planning committee. Melissa has been a presenter at state and regional conferences.
