Constantine V. Nakassis

Constantine V. Nakassis (PhD University of Pennsylvania, 2010) is Associate Professor of Anthropology and of the Social Sciences in the College, Resource Faculty in the Department of Cinema & Media Studies, Associate Faculty in the Department of Comparative Human Development at the University of Chicago. He is a linguistic anthropologist with interests in semiotics; mass media and film theory; trademark law, brands, and counterfeiting; youth culture. His regional focus is Tamil Nadu, India.
