I have, amongst other qualifications, a masters degree in forensic psychiatry, and qualifications as an approved mental health professional (amhp), and as an independent prescriber. With a mental health nursing background I have been in public service for many years - and I look forward to retiring!!. Aside from that I have enjoyed kayaking, playing the guitar, running and various other sports, accruing a tasty range of sporting injuries over the years. I love getting up early and doing some form of exercise (gently - due to inserted bionics), drinking whisky (well, many varieties of alcohol) with good friends, and cooking on the barbecue. I enjoy history and culture, and am an avid fan of football. I like cats and over the years we have had a range of feral cats and a rescue cat. I'll read most things, but a decent action-adventure is what I like best. My favourite place to holiday is Minorca, and as much as I love England the weather here is awful.
