Randy D Pearson has been displaying his creativity for as long as he can remember. Starting at an early age drawing comic strips and cartoon books, he quickly realized he enjoyed writing stories more than he did sketching.
When he discovered his other childhood passion, the Atari computer, everything came together. He spent many late nights typing stories, winning several writing contests in the process.
His writing kicked into high gear in 2007 when he became a member of Writing at the Ledges. This Grand Ledge, Michigan based writing group helped him to turn his interesting ideas into well-crafted works of fiction.
Since then, Randy’s writing has been featured in several publications, including the Washington Square Review, Pets Across America, Small Towns: A Map in Words, Seasons of Life, Voices from the Ledges, Promptly Speaking, Fiction 440: Volume 1, and Retrocade Magazine.
His debut novel, Driving Crazy, was published nationally in 2015. It received rave reviews, both locally and internationally. The option was recently purchased by West Prospect Pictures, who intends to turn this story into a movie.
Tell Me a Story, his short story collection, hit the shelves on April 23, 2016. It combines the love for his wife with some of his funniest, most exciting, and best received stories from the last 25 years. Lansing State Journal's Ray Walsh called it, "a highly entertaining collection of wonderfully quirky short stories."
Pearson's "charming, wild, and witty adventure through Michigan," the action-adventure story Trac Brothers, was released in 2018.
Readers so enjoyed this "deft rail tale" that Pearson felt compelled to complete the saga with 2020's Trac Brothers II: Santascoy's Revenge.
With that out of the way, he tackled Off-Worlding - Book 1: Vacation From Reality - an idea that had been bouncing around his noodle since 1992. No foolin’. He has a 5 ¼” floppy disk from his Atari computer that contains the humble beginnings of this story
