After four years at The Citadel, I commanded infantry units in Vietnam in intensive combat for over a year. For the next 40 years, I worked on construction projects all over the world. Initially a project engineer, I moved up to project manager and finally International Project Executive. I built hospitals, laboratories, military facilities, industrial factories, office buildings, banks and other high security facilities like embassies and consulates. In 2000, I was in Egypt building the International Medical Center in the Egyptian desert. While there, I researched all the battlefields and museums for this book; later going on to Saint Catherine’s in the Saini, Israel and Palestine. For the other book on September 11th, 2001, I was still in Egypt building a huge hospital, where I got the idea another series. Activating the Emergency Action Plan, the safe at our Mideast Regional Office contained similar items that were in the safe in this book. An old-time manager who developed the emergency plan was in Iran during 1979 and copied the details.
