Gwen Hullah

It used to be said, you could recognise Yorkshire folk by the way they don't suck they crunch a boiled sweet! Gwen Hullah (maiden name) was born and bred in the Yorkshire Dales. By tradition in those days, farmers' daughters became home-land-girls wherein, horse-power ruled — as the saying goes: "Shake a bridle over a Yorkshire man's grave and he'll rise up and steal your horse".

This author and co-founder of, She And The Cat's Mother (a mother and daughter partnership) Gwen Hullah and Ida Barker (accompanied by their tabby cat, Purrdey who came by accident and stayed on purpose) are based in the Victorian Spa town of Harrogate.
