Lucy Rutherford

Lucy Rutherford is a criminologist from Brighton and Hove and writes about the dark and light sides of the human psyche.

Her first book - 'A Bunch of Lies' covers issues that include eating disorders, homophobia, religious discrimination, and the effect that lies have on the community.

Her latest book 'Out of Court Settlement' deals with the current trend of 'soft justice' by seeing the central character (a middle aged female magistrate turn vigilante!) It raises a lot of questions about the criminal justice system and the role of victims.
