Barb Chrysler

Barb Chrysler grew up in the small town of Smithville, Ontario. Her love of reading began as a child, and she read everything she could get her hands on. As a teenager, she moved to the Region of Waterloo. At Wilfrid Laurier University Barb completed a B.A. in Psychology and English and an MA in Psychology. Additionally, she took several years of Ph.D. studies at the University of Waterloo. Barb left a long-term career in social services where she had worked at senior management levels in hospitals, government, universities, and non-profits to fulfill a lifelong dream of writing books. She coached and managed minor sports for many years and has a strong desire to help children and youths believe in themselves. In addition to writing children’s books, she writes romance, memoirs, and nonfiction. She lives in Kitchener with her boys and dog.
