Mr. Heath E. Dollar

Heath, A Biography

Born to two wondering souls in Greeley, Colorado. They were each from the Ozarks but found each other in Colorado. hmm, of all places. Despite a lot of trials and grief they managed to keep three children alive. Then they moved to Texas. Why? Mom was chasing healthy food and Hereford sported a tiny whole grain mill called Arrowhead Mills. So we moved there. Seems like a good reason to move. Well adventuresome in the least. Definitely in the vein of a story. "And they moved to a strange land to search out the Mill of Legend..."

In Texas everything good and bad happened. We discovered the baptism of the Holy Spirit and discovered demons are real. Witchcraft and covens are real. Jesus' victory over all the enemy is also real and the peace he had us living in while that little town shook their pitchforks and tired to keep the fires on their torches lit is even more so.

So they moved us. Closer to family lest their children should find they never knew their grandparents, and Missouri became our "Bonny Bain."

I was in High School until we moved to Missouri. It was there I discovered the classism and favoritism that knows no logic except to advance one's own seed.

In a long season of prayer I woke one morning hearing the Lord say, "Drop out of school today, I have need of you." Confused I wanted confirmation. At the breakfast table Mom asked me if I needed to drop out of school. With our respect for education this was totally out of character for either of us to dream up on our own. So I did. That started years of not knowing, but always being in the right place at the right time. On 8/8/88 another assignment began. 3 and 1/2 years of intercessory prayer travels that took us to the next stop, now turn left, continue till the Spirit says stop, now turn right; step by step around and through the contiguous United States. Not knowing where we were going to end up, but again being in the right place at the right time time and time again. We met the people on the highways and byways of America and heard their stories as we ministered to their needs. We were "released" on Mothers Day when we crossed the midway point in Kentucky which was the last State we were told to travel through.

After that I wandered, found a job, bought a car...desperately asked God for another assignment to which He said, "Move to Detroit." Without job, fitting all my worldly possessions in a tiny car I set out for Detroit. Alone. Guided again step by step. Detroit was a heartbreaking city and I poured out prayer for it nearly five years. Bought homes, lost homes. Found friends, lost friends. Found a church, lost it also. Then the assignment was done. Homeless, and directionless I called home. My Dad, my Brother and brother-in-law assembled a rescue mission and I was brought back to Missouri where I continued until I married and became a licensed minister.

Then I wrote "The Job I Know."
