Darren Long

Darren Long is an author, performer, musician, and singer-songwriter. Currently based in Nashville, TN, Darren introduced his first books on Kindle in 2016--'Dirk Daiquiri in: The Dancing Mai Tai,' 'Dirk Daiquiri in: The Golden Chanteuse of Chinatown,' and 'Dirk Daiquiri in: Frantic in the Fog.' Dirk is a colorful private investigator in 1957 San Francisco, where Darren grew up starting in the late 60s. All three e-books are now available in one paperback book on Amazon & Kindle, called 'The Dirk Daiquiri Trilogy.'

In July 2016, Darren released a series of essays entitled 'Life: Vignettes from the Journey,' about life in California and the big move to Nashville, TN in 1997 to be a Country music songwriter. The book was updated and expanded in January 2018 with 2 new essays and over 80 photos. Available on Amazon & Kindle as 'Life: Vignettes from the Journey--Memories of California & Tennessee.'

'My Memories of Military Service in the Navy,' is a new book by Darren's friend, Bob James, a World War II vet sharing his adventure of two years at sea aboard the USS Buckingham in the South Pacific. Darren put Bob's story into book form, adding photos from Bob's collection. Available on Amazon & Kindle.

Just released in August 2018--The Family & Friends Cookbook, featuring 196 tasty recipes, combined with personal stories. September 2018--Just released-- the fourth Dirk Daiquiri short story, Our Lady of San Francisco,' available on Kindle. Darren is currently working on two novels and a fun group of essays about humor in everyday living.

When he's not writing literature, he's busy writing and producing Exotica, Lounge, Surf, Jazz, and Pop music with his band the Tiki Delights, and building clocks from vintage record album covers and vinyl. He also enjoys performing for seniors several times a week.

Besides spending time with his wife, Vickie, Darren enjoys cooking, reading, history, and is a JFK assassination buff.
