I am an ex Marine, police officer and state criminal investigator supervisor. I have an interest in law enforcement stories, mystery suspense, especially spy stories , history and archaeology. I have been fortunate enough to have participated in archaeological "digs" both in the US and Central America.

I enjoy sailing, and had my own boat for years, a 25 ft S2 off shore rigged cruiser. But lately, health issues forced me to sell it and I am now beached, much to my sorrow. Favorite authors include Ken Follett, John LeCarre, Frederick Forsythe, and a host of others. I also have to mention an outstanding series in the Steg Larsson trilogy of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Lisbeth Salander is is one of the best developed characters in recent times.

Many earlier period writers I continue to read and re-read because they are such great reads... these include Joseph Conrad, John Steinbeck, and of course Ernest Hemingway. All these authors could tell a great story and after all, that is what writing is all about.

Because of my interest in history and archaeology, I follow writers in that field. Currently, I have been intrigued by the outstanding research done by Graham Hancock in his quest for the truth about our ancient past.Specifically, Fingerprints of the Gods and Magicians of the Gods.
