Dan Pioske is a biblical scholar and historian of ancient Israel. He has published dozens of articles on topics related to the Bible, archaeology, and contemporary interpretive issues. He is also the author of three books, "David's Jerusalem: Between Memory and History," (Routledge, 2015), "Memory in a Time of Prose: Studies in Epistemology, Hebrew Scribalism, and the Biblical Past," (Oxford, 2018), and "the Bible Among Ruins: Time, Material Remains, and the World of the Biblical Writers," (Cambridge, 2023). Dan is Associate Professor of Theology at the University of St. Thomas, MN.
