Jochen Hekker

As co-founder of LiDRS I am able to share my passion for leadership. During my navy career I have experienced leadership under different circumstances. Being a navy diving officer and working with explosives on the bottom of the ocean, talking to diplomats in Afghanistan, working as an Expat abroad or managing a business unit in the Netherlands, they all require a different leadership approach. LiDRS was founded from the philosophy that everybody can be a leader. You just have to be aware of the variables that dictate your leadership approach.

As a leadership trainer and coach I like to combine an academic background with hands-on leadership experiences. My philosophy is that the best learning environment requires pleasure, motivation, passion and respect.

To earn the legitimacy of leadership, it takes training, experience, knowledge and commitment. LiDRS supports organizations and individuals in developing their leadership.

In my book 'Leading up, down and across' I am sharing many personal stories about my time in the Navy. It was a great time for sure, but at a certain moment you know it is time to move on. Now I am enjoying my time as a co-founder of LiDRS and working in the international oil and gas industry at the same time. Besides that I am also a family man who enjoys to work out once in a while and spend time with friends and family.
