Paul A. Rydecki

Rev. Paul A. Rydecki has studied languages and theology for most of his life. In high school, he learned Latin and German, which he pursued further, along with Greek, Hebrew, and Spanish, at Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin. He was ordained by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod in July, 2000, after graduating summa cum laude from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He spent the next seven years as a missionary in Puerto Rico and Mexico and has been a parish pastor in Las Cruces, New Mexico, since 2007, in communion with the Confessional Lutheran Ministerium since 2022. In Las Cruces, Rev. Rydecki was a teacher of advanced Latin from 2014-2021 at a private Christian academy. His first Latin translation was published in 2012. Since then, he has translated and published sixteen German and Latin theological works from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, as well as a translation and study of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism.
