Layne Calry

Layne Calry is the author of several published works. One full length novel entitled Secrets in the Shadows and many short stories published in numerous anthologies. Layne dabbles mostly in the fantasy genre but is more than willing to cross genre lines and lean heavily towards paranormal. Romance undertones are present in all her written works.

Layne has been writing since she could hold a pencil in her hand. It started with writing her feelings in poetry form to relieve herself of heavy thoughts. Short stories followed this throughout high school, including winning some contests, and she finally wrote her first novel in 2013, though it was not published until May 2017.

Layne currently lives in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, the small town she grew up in. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and the mother to three very rowdy, but sweet little boys all under the age of eight and a fur baby named Harper.

Often, Layne gathers her inspiration from the world around her, and her children. We can often find her under a tree, barefoot, with a pencil and a notebook.
