Shirley Crowder

Shirley Crowder was born in a mission guest house under the shade of a mango tree in Nigeria, West Africa, where her parents served as missionaries. She is passionate about disciple-making, which is conducted in and through a myriad of ministry opportunities that includes writing, biblical counseling, teaching Bible studies, teaching/speaking at conferences, and music.

She is a biblical counselor and serves as the Vice President of The Addiction Connection, an organization that ministers to Connect the Hope of the Gospel with the Heart of Addiction.

She is an award-winning author with several of her articles appearing in “Paper Pulpit” in the Faith section of "The Gadsden [Alabama] Times. She is also a writer for David C. Cook, Student Life, and Woman’s Missionary Union publications, TheAddictionConnection.com, InspiredPrompt.com, JenniferHallmark.com. She is published as an author and co-author of fourteen books.

She is a contributing author of two books not pictured on the right:

"Paul the Counselor: Disciple-making Modeled by the Apostle Paul" - co-wrote Chapter 2: "Paul and Women in Ministry."

"Day by Day: 40 Devotionals for Writers and Creative Types" - contributors are all part of the Southern Christian Writers Conference. Shirley contributed two devotionals: "Build Yourselves Up" and "Journaling: A Good Practice"

"Because of Hope: Reflections of Faith" - contributed an article, "An External Manifestation of Hope."

Shirley has spiritual children and grandchildren serving the Lord in various ministry and secular positions throughout the world.
