He is the author of the dark fantasy series The Baneseeker Chronicles, the epic fantasy The Stranger of Ul Darak (SPFBO semi-finalist), and Deficiency, a dystopian cyberpunk thriller that won the BookView Gold Medal and was a finalist in both the Wishing Shelf and Reader’s Choice awards.

When he’s not writing, Steve enjoys reading, music, puzzles, video games, and travel—New Zealand being a particular favorite. He lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick, with his wife and children.
