Alex Barnett is a middle school language arts teacher, a part time writer, and a full time dystopian apocalypse enthusiast. She currently calls Columbus, Ohio home. When not grading essays or riding herd on her niece and nephew, she enjoys wasting time on the internet and staring ruefully at one of her two cats as they try to convince her that yes, there is room for them AND the laptop.

Alex has been active in online fandoms for over twenty years, and can't remember a time when she wasn't in love with science fiction, fantasy, and horror (was her enthusiasm at the premier of Star Wars: The Force Awakens unseemly?
