John Mosby began his career writing reviews for the Wharfe Valley Times in Yorkshire in the early 1990s and then quickly began freelancing for a number of national and international titles including Total Film, Starburst, Starlog, Film Review, TV Zone, Fantazia, Profile and the Yorkshire Evening Post. He has also been a member of the Guild of Regional Film Writers, served as bureau chief for Sci-Fi Universe and was a columnist for Dreamwatch.
For over a decade he edited the print version of Impact Magazine and continues to serve in a similar capacity for www.impactonline.co
His published books include official tie-ins (for 'X-MEN' and 'BARB WIRE'), THE CUTTING EDGE - with a focus on swordplay in the movies, GODS, MONSTERS & MUTANTS (an overview of superhero movies in the 21st Century - including a collection of interviews with key actors and directors). His most recent book is FEARFUL SYMMETRY an expansive, soft-back coffee-table book examining the thirty year legacy of the HIGHLANDER franchise and covering the films, the tv series, the animation, the games, the toys and the music.
As well as writing, John works in design, PR and branding and has also hosted multimedia conventions in locations as diverse as Leeds, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Brisbane, Sydney and Paris.
He divides his time between Yorkshire in the UK and Iowa in the US.
