A.E. Stewart

This author began telling stories at the age of six in a Sydney boarding school. Once lights were out, tall tales were in. ‘Ghost stories’ were the most popular but it was the repetition of speaking and composing which produced words at a speed far quicker than anyone could write them down that started the treadmill. Such a place became the nursery where a vivid imagination was born.

A.E. lived in England for some time prior to the Queen’s Coronation, where a wealth of experience with the ‘Cockney’ way of life and the different accents of the London population was gained.

The series of ‘The Silver Thieves’ was born from a younger brother’s inspiration. His love of Silver and the borrowed ‘Sterling Silver and their Hallmarks’ book became the catalyst for this writer’s literary intentions.
