JACK E. DUNNING BIO
1976 was my first entry into active writing doing sales letters, brochures, catalog copy and print media ads. Before and during this period I tried my hand at short stories but did not have the time to pursue this earnestly. This continued through the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s.
2005 – In April of this year I started publishing my blog, The Dunning Letter, posting 730 articles over almost five years consisting of over 400,000 words. The blog was about the privacy issues of that period and had a weekly readership in the thousands. It was praised by some of the top privacy experts in the country.
2011 – In August of that year I launched the Nasty Jack blog posting 441articles over approximately three years consisting of some 250,000 words. The blog covered all aspects of politics and, as The Dunning Letter, enjoyed readership in the thousands. It was even followed by the White House in the early stages of the Obama administration.
2014 – It was early in this year that I became serious about writing fiction and completed my first novel, Nymphomania Bloodlust, which I was able to finish in just three months. Since then I have completed and submitted five short stories to various magazines, selling one. A memoir, Without the Lampshade-How I Learned to Love My Brown Martini, that humorously documents my years of drinking with incidents that could only happen to a happy drunk has just been published
I was recently published, a short story, “Snuffy’s Last Walk,” in MobiusMagazine.com. My non-fiction includes two blogs with more than one-thousand posts totaling over a half-million words. They are The Dunning Letter (http://thedunningletter.blogspot.com/) and Nasty Jack Buzz (http://nastyjackbuzz.blogspot.com/)
