I am an independent historian, writer and researcher, with particular interests in Australian Indigenous history and cultural heritage. I write about the intersections between Indigenous, and Western knowledges, and Indigenous intangible heritage. I am currently working on Western and Indigenous environmental histories, walking, ecology and climate change and related themes. I have also participated in collaborative projects, most recently (2015) with Melbourne based writer and creative thinker Paul Carter, on a project called 'Laminations'. I have a new book forthcoming in the Routledge Environmental Humanities Series, co-edited with Joni Adamson (Arizona State University), entitled 'Humanities for the Environment: Integrating Knowledge, Forging New Constellations of Practice'.
